Smirnoff Digital Selfie Wall
For Smirnoff’s brand activation, we designed and delivered an interactive selfie wall experience. As guests arrived, they had their photos taken automatically, which were then integrated into a live mosaic displayed across two LED screens. Each new photo triggered a smooth tile-flip animation, gradually revealing a wall of selfies over the course of the night. The installation combined playful interaction with large-scale visuals, creating a memorable centerpiece for the event.
The system was built in Touch Designer, using a Drop Box to ingest photos coming in from the photo booth. Custom Python scripting handled the integration of new photos into the mosaic, ensuring that each tile filled without overwriting previous images. A key challenge was developing synchronized animations that played seamlessly, regardless of when new photos were ingested. Additionally, the installation was designed to adapt content across two LED displays with different pixel pitches and aspect ratios, while still maintaining a unified, visually consistent experience.
